Former President Donald Trump appeared at a New York court on Monday, as witnessed by an AFP reporter, marking a significant moment in US history as the first former president to face a criminal trial.
Dressed in his familiar red tie and dark blue suit, the 77-year-old, who has faced numerous scandals, was seen waving as he departed from Trump Tower for Manhattan Criminal Court. He is accused of falsifying records related to an alleged sexual encounter with an adult film actress.
