In a decisive move, the Supreme Court has once again confirmed Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (PDP) as the rightful and duly elected Governor of Bauchi State from the March 18th Governorship election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had initially declared Mohammed the winner with a substantial 525,280 votes, surpassing Sadique Abubakar of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 432,272 votes.
Both the tribunal and the Appeal Court had previously upheld Mohammed’s status as the Governor, solidifying his position. This reaffirmation by the Supreme Court puts an end to any lingering doubts about Bala Mohammed’s victory in the Bauchi State gubernatorial poll.
