Biography:
Moyo Lawal, born on January 1, 1988, is a prominent Nollywood actress, movie producer, and television personality hailing from Badagry, Lagos. Her journey in the entertainment industry began in 2006 when she participated as a housemate on the reality series “The Next Movie Star.” She gained significant recognition in 2012, winning the esteemed “Revelation of the Year” award at the Best Of Nollywood Awards. Lawal’s remarkable career has seen her receive a nomination for “Best Actress in a Lead Role – Yoruba” in 2018.

Early Life and Education:
Growing up in Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria, Moyo Lawal completed her primary, secondary, and university education at the University of Lagos, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts. She has been open about her decision not to have children, citing the challenges and responsibilities involved.

Career:
Lawal’s acting journey started with small play productions during her school years, encouraged by a friend. Despite an unsuccessful stint on the Next Movie Star reality show, she secured her first professional role in the TV series “Shallow Waters,” playing the character Chioma. Her breakthrough came with the award-winning TV series “Tinsel,” where she portrayed the notable role of Chinny. In 2012, she received the “Revelation of the Year” award at the Best of Nollywood Awards.
