Prince Abdulfatai Adeyemi, fondly known as D-Gov, the son of the late Alaafin of Oyo, has passed away at the age of 47. He succumbed to diabetes in the early hours of Friday, December 8, just a day before his birthday.
Before his demise, he had served as the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Pension Board, appointed by Governor Seyi Makinde during his first term in office. The late prince breathed his last at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State.
He contested for the Oyo Federal Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2019 but lost the election to his brother, Akeem Adeyemi, aka Skimeh, who was re-elected for the second term.
