The Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has issued a statement following the arrest of three individuals accused of running the popular blog, Gistlover.
After the arrest, doubts surfaced about whether the detained individuals were genuinely behind the blog, especially since the account continued to share new posts. Many questioned the reason for the arrest and the alleged crimes committed by the Instagram blog.
In response, Adejobi clarified that Gistlover is not operated by a single individual but by a syndicate. He emphasized that the arrested individuals are members of this syndicate, revealing that “12 gistlover pages were recovered from the suspects.”
Adejobi went on to explain that the individuals paraded as the faces behind the blog were apprehended “in connection with an ongoing investigation in a case of conspiracy, cyberstalking, and threat to life.” This statement aims to address concerns and provide insight into the nature of the arrests and ongoing investigation related to Gistlover.
