The Nigeria Police Force’s Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has rejected claims that the wanted terrorist kingpin, Turji Bello, has joined the police.
Adejobi quickly dismissed the rumors in a short statement shared on the X platform on Wednesday. This response followed a social media post by user @OnyiPathfinder, who alleged that the terrorist had become a part of the Police Force. @OnyiPathfinder posted a picture of Turji Bello wearing what seemed to be a police uniform and asked Adejobi to clarify the situation regarding the wanted terrorist.
In reply, Adejobi stated, “Turji has never been recruited into the police. It’s a lie. This picture is not a new one.”
Turji Bello is a notorious bandit leader and terrorist operating in the northern part of Nigeria, declared wanted by security operatives.
