Lagos Monarch Osolo of Isolo Dies at 64

Kabiru Agbabiaka, the revered Osolo of Isolo Kingdom in Lagos State, has passed away at the age of 64. The monarch’s death was confirmed by Olasoju Adebayo, the Chairman of Isolo Local Community Development Association (LCDA), on Wednesday morning.

Oba Kabiru Alani Adelaja Agbabiaka, Adeola Olushi III, breathed his last shortly after observing Eid prayers on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Adebayo, in a statement issued on behalf of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, announced the passing of the paramount ruler.

The late monarch will be laid to rest on the same day, following Islamic rites, at his palace located at 3/5 Akinbaye Street, Isolo, by 4 p.m.

Oba Agbabiaka ascended the throne as the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom on July 11, 2004, and was set to celebrate his 20th anniversary on the throne this coming July.
