FCT Police Capture 6 Suspected Robbers in Unfinished Hospital Building

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has apprehended six suspected armed robbers.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh, revealed this in a statement on Friday, February 9, 2024, stating that the arrest was conducted by operatives of the Utako Divisional Headquarters.

According to Adeh, the suspects were caught in an incomplete hospital building known as a notorious area in Utako village of the city.

The suspects, identified as Basara Hassan (41), Daniel Charles (27), Adamu Oshiaka (32), Chancy Asidi (38), and Saliu Al Hassan (24), hail from neighboring states bordering the FCT.

“A locally made pistol, two live cartridges and wraps of substances suspected to be marijuana were recovered from the suspects,” the statement read.

“Further investigation about the recovered ammunition, led to the arrest of one Yusuf Iliyasu a.k.a Tablet, who is an ex-convict and the syndicate leader,”

“While the investigation is ongoing, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth Igweh assured residents of his unwavering commitment to make Abuja a hell for criminals and to ensure the safety of all,”
