The Kebbi State Government shares the unfortunate news of the passing of Muhammad Bello, the chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area. Bello succumbed to a prolonged illness.
The state governor’s spokesperson, Ahmed Idris, conveyed in a statement to the press on Thursday, December 28, that the late chairman breathed his last early in the morning. The government plans to lay him to rest later in the day. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
The statement read, “Regrettably, with heavy heart, I announce the death of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Executive Chairman of Maiyama local Government.
“He died early this morning at UDUTH Sokoto after a protracted illness.”
The statement further disclosed that the time for burial will be communicated to the public.
