Bricklayer in Court for Allegedly Stealing Four Generators

In a recent legal development, the Ekiti police command brought a 32-year-old bricklayer, Fatoyebi Kola, before the Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ado-Ekiti on charges of pilfering three tiger generators. The generators, valued at N300,000, reportedly belong to Ajibade Gbenga.

According to Police prosecutor ASP Celeb Leramo, Kola is accused of making off with the generators on December 24, 2023, in Orun-Ekiti. The alleged offense falls under Section 324 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.

Appearing in court without legal representation, the defendant maintained his innocence. Chief Magistrate Mr. Saka Afunso granted Kola bail in the amount of N50,000, requiring one surety for his release.

The case is set for further examination on January 8, marking the next chapter in the legal proceedings.
