Access Holdings CEO Herbert Wigwe and Wife Among Six Others Die in California Helicopter Crash

Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Holdings, along with his wife Chizoba, were among the six individuals who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash in California near the border with Nevada. The crash occurred as the chopper was en route to Las Vegas on Friday night.

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department reported that the helicopter departed from Palm Springs Airport around 8:45 PM and crashed near Boulder City around 10 PM.

Alongside the Wigwes, their son and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, were also on board the helicopter. Authorities confirmed that there were no survivors.

The crash has sent shockwaves through the business community, with Herbert Wigwe being a prominent figure in the banking sector. He was 57 years old. May their souls rest in peace. Amen.
