Abducted Passengers from GIG and ABC Buses Freed in Kogi State

The passengers kidnapped from God Is Good Motors (GIGM) and ABC Transport buses have been released by their captors in Kogi State.

Fourteen passengers were traveling in two buses from the East to Abuja when they were abducted at Inyenle Eteke, Ogugu, Olamaboro LGA of Kogi State last Friday, Feb. 2.

The Kogi State Police Command confirmed that all the hostages have now been released.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya, confirmed the release of the hostages on Thursday, Feb. 8.

However, he did not specify whether the victims were rescued by security forces or if ransom was paid before their release.

“Just been informed by the DPO that all the kidnapped victims of God is Good Motors and ABC regained their freedom,” Aya said.
