Country music sensation Darius Rucker found himself in legal trouble in Williamson County, Tennessee, where he was arrested on misdemeanor charges. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Rucker’s arrest on two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of violating Tennessee’s vehicle registration law. Rucker, 57, is fully cooperating with authorities, as stated by his attorney, Mark Puryear.

Rucker faces misdemeanor charges related to drug offenses and a violation of vehicle registration law. He was taken into custody by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and later released on $10,500 bond. The specific controlled substance involved was not disclosed by authorities. TMZ reported that Rucker allegedly had expired tags on his car, leading to the arrest.

Known for his roles in Hootie & the Blowfish, Rucker released his latest solo album, “Carolyn’s Boy,” in October, dedicated to his late mother. The accomplished artist, with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, values his family, expressing his love for his children during the ceremony.
