Bernard Hill starred as Captain Edward Smith in “Titanic” and portrayed King Théoden in “The Lord of the Rings.” He gained recognition for his role as Yosser Hughes in the 1982 BBC drama “Boys from the Blackstuff,” depicting a character struggling with unemployment in Liverpool.

Hill’s impactful performances extended beyond these iconic roles, including his recent work in BBC’s drama “The Responder” alongside Martin Freeman.
