The Supreme Court, in a ruling today Wednesday 29th September 2023, in Abuja, has declared that the old Naira notes will continue to be recognized as legal tender in Nigeria until further notice.
This decision comes after the apex court extended the deadline for phasing out the old Naira notes to December 31, 2023, following a request by the federal government on November 21, 2023.
