Kyle Walker Apologizes to his wife, Annie Kilner for Fathering Children Outside Marriage, Acknowledges Mistakes

Manchester City and England defender Kyle Walker has publicly apologized to his wife, Annie Kilner, after fathering two children with model Lauryn Goodman. The revelation comes amidst an ongoing scandal, with Walker acknowledging his actions and taking full responsibility for the consequences.

Walker, who has been married to Kilner since 2022 and has three children with her, admitted to making “idiot choices” and “idiot decisions.” The footballer expressed deep remorse for the pain and hurt caused to his family, particularly to Annie, whom he referred to as his best friend.

The situation escalated when Lauryn Goodman messaged Kilner on Instagram, revealing the existence of a second child born from Walker’s affair with her. Kilner initially forgave Walker after the first instance of infidelity with Goodman but left him upon discovering the ongoing affair and the birth of another child.

In an interview with The Sun, Walker acknowledged the gravity of his actions, stating, “The only person to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I’m aware of, and I’ve made stupid choices. But I need to own up to my mistakes — I owe it to everyone.”

Walker also shared that he considered leaving Manchester City amid the scandal but ultimately decided against it. He expressed the emotional turmoil he is currently facing and the challenge of balancing professional and personal responsibilities.

This public apology follows Walker’s previous apology in 2020 for breaching COVID-19 lockdown rules by hosting a party with sex workers. The footballer emphasized the importance of being a role model and apologized to his family, friends, football club, supporters, and the public for letting them down.

The current situation has led to a temporary separation between Walker and Kilner. The footballer reflected on the difficulties but highlighted his ability to be present for his children during this challenging time.

Manchester City has not commented on the recent developments. Walker, who serves as City’s captain, has been a key player for the club, contributing to their success in the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League.
