Backstreet Boys’ member AJ McLean and his wife, Rochelle DeAnna McLean, have shared the news of their upcoming divorce after a year of living separately.
In a joint statement released on January 1, the couple expressed:
“As you all know, we have been separated for over a year now. While we have hoped for reconciliation, we have decided to officially end our marriage. It is with deep love and respect that we have made this decision. Our focus now is moving forward in the healthiest way possible, with friendship and co-parenting our girls at the forefront of this next chapter.”
The announcement follows their initial separation in March 2023, during which AJ and Rochelle described it as a temporary measure to focus on personal growth and the improvement of their marital relationship. Unfortunately, the couple has now decided to proceed with the divorce.
AJ McLean and Rochelle tied the knot in 2011 after six years of dating, with the Backstreet Boys crew present at their Beverly Hills Hotel wedding. The couple shares two daughters, Ava (also known as Elliott) and Lyric.
