The 16-time WWE world champion made the announcement during WWE Money in the Bank in Toronto, Canada, where he delivered an emotional speech to a stadium full of fans.
Cena confirmed that his farewell tour will include the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. He assured fans of an epic final fight and promised to remain involved with WWE, particularly as Raw moves to Netflix in January 2025.
Cena reflected on his career, expressing gratitude to his fans: “Thank you so much for letting me play in the house that you built for so many years.” He also shared that despite feeling physically at his limit, he still has a deep love for the sport.
