Victor Osimhen Accepts Shock Loan Move to Galatasaray After Chelsea Deal Falls Through

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward and Napoli star, has agreed to join Turkish club Galatasaray on loan after a potential move to Chelsea collapsed. Chelsea had pursued Osimhen until the last moments of the transfer window but failed to reach an agreement on his wages, prompting the striker to consider other options.

According to reports, Osimhen is expected in Istanbul this week to finalize the switch. The loan deal includes a significant clause, reducing Napoli’s release clause from €130 million to €75 million. Additionally, Osimhen has secured an option to break the loan agreement in January if approached by a top club, keeping his future flexible.

Galatasaray, who recently drew Tottenham in the Europa League group stage, are keen to bolster their squad, and Osimhen’s arrival marks a significant coup for the Turkish giants. Despite interest from Saudi club Al-Ahli, Osimhen opted for the move to Galatasaray, where he will have the opportunity to shine on a new stage.
