Rosenborg vs Man United: Erik ten Hag Criticizes Manchester United's Performance in 1-0 Pre-Season Loss to Rosenborg

Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Norwegian side Rosenborg in their first pre-season friendly. Rosenborg dominated the game, taking 22 shots and hitting the post four times before Noah Holm scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute.

United manager Erik ten Hag criticized his team’s performance, calling it “by far not good enough” and “not the standard of top football.” Despite featuring regular first-team players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jonny Evans, Casemiro, Mason Mount, and Marcus Rashford, United failed to meet expectations.

Ten Hag acknowledged the team’s lack of match fitness but stressed that players should still perform better, even in pre-season. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards and avoiding losses.

Young goalkeeper Radek Vitek made six key saves, helping to keep the score down. Ten Hag praised Vitek’s efforts but reiterated that the overall team performance was below par.

United’s next pre-season match is against Scottish side Rangers at Murrayfield on July 20.
