Napoli secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Juventus with a late goal from Giacomo Raspadori, boosting their chances of securing a European spot in Serie A.
The winning goal came in the 88th minute when Raspadori capitalized on a rebound from Victor Osimhen’s saved penalty. Earlier, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had put Napoli ahead with a well-taken volley, but Federico Chiesa’s late strike seemed to salvage a draw for Juventus.
However, Osimhen’s determined play led to the penalty, setting the stage for Raspadori’s heroics and giving Napoli’s caretaker manager Francesco Calzona his first win at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The victory moves Napoli into seventh place in Serie A, keeping their hopes of European qualification alive. Meanwhile, Juventus remains 12 points behind league leaders Inter Milan, with a game in hand.
