Manchester United has revealed its new home kit for the 2024-25 season, featuring the Snapdragon brand as the principal shirt partner for both men’s and women’s teams. This partnership with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. expands their existing collaboration, showcasing the Snapdragon logo on home, away, and third kits.
Snapdragon processors, known for powering billions of devices globally, will now be prominently displayed on Manchester United’s jerseys. The new home kit, launched by adidas, will debut during the men’s first team’s pre-season tour in Europe and the US, including a match against Real Betis at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on July 31.
In celebration of the new kit, Manchester United legend Eric Cantona appeared in a launch video, emphasizing the emotion and creativity that the Snapdragon collaboration aims to bring to fans. Additionally, fans can access an augmented reality (AR) experience by scanning the Snapdragon logo on the kit, offering exclusive Manchester United content throughout the season.
Jean-Claude Blanc, Chief Executive of Manchester United, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are looking forward to using Snapdragon’s processors to enable ground-breaking experiences for fans across the globe.”
Don McGuire, Qualcomm’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting Manchester United’s global fanbase of over 1.1 billion. He said, “We aim to catapult the Snapdragon brand to new heights, building increased awareness and understanding of the role Snapdragon plays in powering amazing experiences across billions of devices.”
The agreement, expected to be worth more than $75 million annually, is one of the largest jersey deals in soccer. It includes unique features like the right for Snapdragon to switch out its logo for a charitable partner once a year and control over the real estate on the back of the jersey for additional sponsorships.
