LeBron’s Triple-Double, Davis’ Clutch Finish Propel Lakers to Comeback Win Over Kings, Keep Perfect Record

LeBron James

LeBron James notched a triple-double with 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Anthony Davis added 31 points to lift the Los Angeles Lakers to a hard-fought 131-127 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. The win keeps the Lakers undefeated at 3-0 under new head coach JJ Redick.

After a strong start, the Lakers saw their 15-point lead slip away as the Kings took a seven-point lead in the third quarter. But James, now in his 22nd NBA season, fueled a comeback with 16 points in the fourth quarter, including a pivotal 21-0 run. He made an emphatic long-range three-pointer that helped the Lakers pull away in the game’s final minutes. Davis capped off the rally with a three-pointer and free throw to close out the game.

“Just when you think he’s slowing down, he shows why he’s still the greatest,” Davis said of James’ performance. Redick echoed the sentiment, calling James’ game “insane” and “surreal.”

The Lakers’ stars led the charge, but every starter scored in double figures, showcasing balanced team play. The victory puts the Lakers in high spirits as they embark on a five-game road trip, starting in Phoenix on Monday.
