Former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand believes that Jadon Sancho’s potential return to the club depends on the departure of manager Erik ten Hag. Sancho, currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, had a strained relationship with Ten Hag which led to his move in January.
Ferdinand stated on TNT Sports that Sancho is unlikely to return to Manchester United under the current management, suggesting that bringing him back without an apology would undermine the manager’s authority.
Despite this, Sancho has shown promising form at Dortmund, notably in their recent Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain. Ferdinand highlighted Sancho’s potential impact, suggesting that consistent performances could prompt questions from United’s management about his absence from the team.
While Sancho’s future remains uncertain, Owen Hargreaves, also on TNT Sports, expressed optimism about the young winger’s potential at Manchester United, envisioning him as part of a promising generation of talent at the club.
