Harry Kane made history during Bayern Munich’s UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid by achieving the most goal contributions in a single Champions League season by an English player.
Despite the 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena, Kane’s goal marked his 11th goal contribution of the campaign—eight goals and three assists—surpassing the previous record held by Steven Gerrard and David Beckham, who both had 10 goal contributions in a single season.
Kane’s impressive form has seen him score 43 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions in his debut season with Bayern Munich. The English striker’s performance will be crucial in the upcoming return leg against Real Madrid, where he aims to lead Bayern to victory under the guidance of coach Carlo Ancelotti.
