Paris Saint-Germain claimed a decisive 3-0 victory over Olympique de Marseille on Sunday, moving three points clear at the top of Ligue 1. The match turned lopsided early, as PSG capitalized on their dominance and an early red card to leave Marseille unable to mount a comeback.

PSG started strong with João Neves netting in the 7th minute, giving them the advantage and unsettling the hosts. Marseille’s struggles worsened when Amine Harit received a red card in the 20th minute for a high challenge on Marquinhos, reducing them to 10 men. Just minutes later, an unfortunate own goal from Leonardo Balerdi put PSG up 2-0, and Bradley Barcola’s strike made it 3-0 before halftime.

In the second half, PSG maintained control, though Marseille pushed back with limited success. PSG coach Luis Enrique praised his squad’s composure and intensity, noting that the red card helped tilt the game further in PSG’s favor. Vitinha added that winning at Marseille’s home ground brought “a special satisfaction” to the team and fans.

The win boosts PSG to 23 points, creating a three-point lead over AS Monaco and a six-point gap over Marseille, who remain third. The dominant display also marks PSG’s sixth consecutive league victory over their rivals, reinforcing their position as early title favorites.
