Chelsea has announced the signing of centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham. The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract that begins on July 1, 2024.
Adarabioyo, born in London but raised in Manchester, began his career with Manchester City, where he made his professional debut at Stamford Bridge in February 2016. After loan spells with West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers, he joined Fulham in October 2020. He has since made 78 Premier League appearances.
Co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart expressed their delight at bringing Adarabioyo to Chelsea, praising his maturity and defensive qualities. Adarabioyo also shared his excitement, noting that joining Chelsea is a full-circle moment for him since he was born just three miles from Stamford Bridge.
Adarabioyo’s arrival marks the first signing under new head coach Enzo Maresca, following the departure of veteran Thiago Silva. Adarabioyo is looking forward to working with Maresca and the talented Chelsea squad, aiming to play good football and win many games.
