Chelsea is thrilled to announce the signing of Sandy Baltimore from Paris Saint-Germain on a four-year contract. The 24-year-old French forward has spent the past nine years at PSG, where she made over 200 appearances and gained significant experience, including in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Baltimore is a versatile player, comfortable in various attacking roles and known for her dynamic style and excellent technical ability. She expressed her excitement about joining Chelsea, saying, “I’m very happy to join Chelsea. It feels incredible. I have always wanted to play for Chelsea and now look, it has happened!”
Chelsea’s general manager, Paul Green, welcomed Baltimore, highlighting her as an exciting addition who will bring balance and competition to the squad. “Sandy has gained a wealth of experience in France, including within the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and will add another naturally left-footed player to our team,” Green commented.
Baltimore debuted for PSG in the 2016/17 season and has since accumulated an impressive record, including one French league title and three French cups. She was named Young Player of the Season at the D1 Arkema end-of-season awards in 2020/21 and helped PSG secure their first-ever league title. Internationally, she contributed to France’s victory in the 2019 Under-19 European Championship and has earned 28 caps for the French national team.
Chelsea warmly welcomes Sandy Baltimore and looks forward to her success with the team.
