Barcelona has finalized personal terms with Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo on a six-year contract, extending until June 2030. This agreement comes in the wake of Olmo’s impressive performance at Euro 2024, where he played a key role in Spain’s triumphant campaign.
Initially, Barcelona aimed to sign Athletic Club’s Nico Williams. However, with Williams deciding to remain with his club for another year, Barcelona redirected their attention to Olmo. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Olmo has expressed a strong desire to join Barcelona, making this move a priority.
To secure Olmo’s transfer, Barcelona has submitted a revised bid to RB Leipzig. The offer includes €55 million guaranteed, plus €7 million in add-ons, bringing the total potential value to €62 million. The Catalan club is optimistic that this proposal will meet Leipzig’s expectations.
As a result of the ongoing negotiations, Olmo has not participated in Leipzig’s pre-season activities, indicating that a transfer is likely imminent. Both clubs are now in discussions to finalize the details of the deal, and fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation of Olmo’s move to the Camp Nou.
