Albania secured a thrilling 2-2 draw against Croatia in a Euro 2024 Group B match in Hamburg. Klaus Gjasula, who scored an own goal in the second half, redeemed himself with a stoppage-time equaliser.
Albania’s Qazim Laci opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a header. Croatia struggled in the first half, failing to register a shot on target. In the second half, Croatia turned the game around with two quick goals: Andrej Kramaric scored on his 33rd birthday, followed by Gjasula’s own goal.
In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Gjasula scored a crucial equaliser to secure a point for Albania. The result leaves Albania in third place in Group B, with Croatia at the bottom. Both teams remain two points behind leaders Spain and Italy.
