AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha recently underwent a significant eye surgery in the UK, as disclosed by Delhi’s Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. The procedure was prompted by a serious eye ailment that posed a risk of potential blindness for Chadha.
The surgery, identified as a vitrectomy, aimed to prevent retinal detachment, a condition aggravated by Chadha’s high myopia, according to media reports. Despite initial concerns, the surgery was successful, and Chadha is currently on the path to recovery.
Chadha’s absence from the election campaign due to his medical treatment has drawn attention, with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann confirming Chadha’s intention to join the campaign once he feels better.
Bharadwaj assured that Chadha would return to India and resume campaigning as soon as his health permits. Mann emphasized the collective effort of the party in fulfilling campaign duties and expressed confidence in AAP’s performance in the upcoming elections.
Chadha’s surgery highlights the importance of timely medical intervention in addressing serious eye conditions, with vitrectomy being a crucial procedure in preventing vision loss associated with retinal detachment and other complications.
