Suzanne Hinn, wife of renowned televangelist Benny Hinn, has filed for divorce for the second time. The filing was made on July 26 in Hillsborough County Court in Tampa, Florida. This marks another chapter in the tumultuous relationship of the couple, who first married in 1979, divorced in 2010, and remarried in 2013.
The Hinns have been living separately in Florida, with Benny residing in Palm Coast and Suzanne in Longwood. The couple owns four properties in the state, collectively valued at over $5 million. Despite Benny Hinn Ministries, also known as World Healing Center Church, being reportedly worth up to $100 million, the ministry has faced financial challenges and a decline in viewership.
Benny Hinn, 71, wrote in his autobiography about meeting Suzanne in 1978 at Evangel College. Over the years, he rose to prominence as a charismatic TV preacher, known for his bestselling book “Good Morning, Holy Spirit.” Suzanne also led her own ministry, Purifying Fire.
Their first divorce in 2010 was surrounded by personal and public difficulties, including Suzanne’s struggle with prescription medication addiction and a scandal involving Benny being photographed with fellow televangelist Paula White. Despite these issues, they reconciled and remarried in 2013, with a ceremony attended by over 1,000 people.
In recent years, Benny Hinn has distanced himself from prosperity gospel teachings, yet he recently urged followers to give “seed” money to his ministry, claiming it would offer financial protection.
The renewed separation has reignited discussions about their relationship and the future of Benny Hinn’s ministry. Despite controversies, Benny Hinn remains a significant figure in the charismatic Christian community.
