Barczyk, known for his educational videos on reptiles, founded The Reptarium in 2018 and had been working on the LegaSea Aquarium. Despite entering hospice care, he continued to inspire fans, emphasizing his dedication to creating experiences for people to love animals. In his final video on January 5, Barczyk expressed gratitude for the support and encouraged viewers to continue watching the vlog.
Survived by his wife, Lori, and children, Noah and Jade, Barczyk’s legacy lives on through his family and the team at The Reptarium. Fans have poured out condolences, acknowledging his impact on their lives.
The Reptarium plans to honor Barczyk’s dream by featuring his handprints at the LegaSea Aquarium, set to open by March. The exhibit aims to continue his legacy as an interactive reptile zoo. A memorial will be held at the Public Memorial Walk in Utica, Michigan.
