Before his meeting with President Tinubu, Governor Buni engaged in a detailed discussion with the Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam. The focus of their conversation was centered on addressing the current security challenges within the state.
The strategic meetings indicate a proactive approach by Governor Buni in tackling the insecurity issues facing Yobe. The statement noted that Buni and Gaidam later met with the president at the Villa in Abuja.
“Generally, there is tremendous improvement in security across the state, except for isolated cases. Soft target border communities have been targeted, but we are implementing serious measures to curb the incursion of criminals into the state,” [/b]Buni stated.
President Tinubu assured that the government would do everything possible to ensure the safety and security of Nigerians.
