Shakira delivered a dazzling halftime performance at the Copa América Final between Argentina and Colombia on July 14, 2024, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The Colombian star’s set was a visual spectacle, featuring large 3D wolves, floating gems, and vibrant pyrotechnics.
Opening with “Hips Don’t Lie,” Shakira, dressed in a metallic silver outfit, was joined by dancers and robots. Her performance continued with hits “Te Felicito,” “TQG,” and “Puntería,” highlighted by green flames and neon waves. She also passionately declared “Te quiero, Colombia!” during the show.
This halftime show marked Shakira’s debut at Copa América and was the first time the tournament featured a halftime show longer than 15 minutes, similar to those at American sports events. The performance was part of the ongoing festivities for the tournament held in the U.S.
Shakira, who will embark on a world tour starting in November, described the tour as her most extensive and longest to date. She aims to empower and connect with her audience through her performances.
