The former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, has voluntarily presented herself for investigation at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters in Abuja.
This move signifies a willingness on Umar-Farouq’s part to engage with the investigative process and provide clarity on the allegations. The EFCC, as part of its mandate, is diligently examining the financial transactions related to the mentioned sum, aiming to ensure transparency and accountability in governmental affairs.
“I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating,” she wrote on her X handle.
