Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore, a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, has passed away.
The announcement of his death was made by Kamaldeen Gambari, the Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Ilorin Branch, Kwara State, on Tuesday.
Gambari shared the sad news in a social media post, expressing prayers for Justice Belgore’s forgiveness by Allah.
Justice Belgore retired from the Court of Appeal on April 18, 2023, upon reaching the retirement age of 70.
In a condolence message, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, described Justice Belgore’s death as a significant loss to the Ilorin Emirate and the entire nation.
The Emir praised Justice Belgore as a distinguished judicial officer who served the nation diligently in various capacities, nationally and internationally. He highlighted Justice Belgore’s contributions to the growth of the judiciary and humanity.
The Emir extended condolences to the family of the deceased, the people of Ilorin, and all Nigerians affected by this loss.
