Senator Adams Oshiomhole has called on Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, assuring that the current policies will yield positive results over time.
In an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics on July 21, Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North in the Senate, emphasized that some policy initiatives require more than a year to fully materialize.
“You have to agree that some of the policy initiatives will require more than a year to materialize,” Oshiomhole stated. “What would the president gain by resorting to policy choices that are unlikely to deliver comfort in the long run?”
Oshiomhole urged Nigerians to maintain faith in the administration, believing that the long-term benefits of Tinubu’s policies will ultimately improve the nation’s welfare.
“It is about having faith that in the long run, these things will work out,” he concluded.
This comes after the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), said inflation figures reached 34.19 per cent in June 2024.
The high cost of living was triggered by the floating of the naira and the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.
