The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has provided an update on the health of veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji, assuring that he is in stable condition and showing signs of improvement.
Zack Orji was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital in Abuja on New Year’s Eve. According to Abubakar Yakubu, the National Secretary of the AGN, the actor, who was initially unable to walk or talk upon admission, has started speaking as of the latest update.
On January 1st, First Lady Remi Tinubu and the wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima, visited Zack Orji at the hospital while they were there to meet the first baby of the year.
Footage emerged showing Zack Orji being admitted to the hospital after collapsing at his house’s toilet. The 63-year-old actor had been struggling with fatigue for weeks, rendering him unable to talk or move.
Despite the unclear information about his health, the AGN secretary mentioned that Zack Orji underwent medical tests, and the guild will keep the public informed of any developments.
