Travis Scott, a renowned rapper, was arrested early Thursday in Miami Beach on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. The incident occurred around 1:45 AM at the Miami Beach Marina, where police were called to investigate a disturbance on a yacht.
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was reportedly yelling at people on the yacht. Police noted a strong smell of alcohol on his breath and initially managed to get him to leave the dock. However, Scott returned shortly after, shouting obscenities and causing a disturbance.
Despite attempts to calm him, Scott became erratic, disturbing residents and ignoring police commands. He was arrested and later admitted to drinking alcohol, remarking, “It’s Miami.”
Scott was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and released after posting a $650 bond. He shared a photo of his mugshot on Instagram later that day. The arrest comes shortly before his European tour, set to begin in the Netherlands on June 28.
Scott, a 10-time Grammy nominee, has two children with ex-partner Kylie Jenner. He remains involved in civil cases related to the tragic 2021 Astroworld festival, where 10 fans died in a crowd surge.
