Nigerian TikTok personality, Oloba Salo (real name Ojesanmi Afeez), was reportedly robbed and shot in the leg in Lekki, Lagos. The incident occurred at a gas station, where his gold chain was stolen by assailants.
Salo was rushed to Perez Medcare Hospital in Lekki Phase 2, where his condition remains critical. Videos circulating on social media show him being taken into the hospital, and his white AMG GLE 43 Mercedes Benz was found stained with blood, with a bullet casing on the driver’s seat.
A friend and fellow TikToker, Tunde Perry, confirmed the incident, saying, “Salo is fighting for his life. Some boys rushed him to the hospital, and I’ve been there already.” An eyewitness also shared that hospital staff urged people to keep praying for Salo due to the severity of his condition.
Before the attack, Salo had expressed concerns about his safety in a video, pleading with his manager, Sula, to provide him with security. Additionally, Salo was recently involved in a public dispute with another TikToker, Tobi Nation, over a real estate transaction, though Tobi expressed regret over the incident and visited the hospital.
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the attack and begun investigations, according to police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin. Further updates on Salo’s condition and the investigation are awaited.
