South African media icon and entrepreneur Bonang Matheba has announced that she is in a new relationship after six years of focusing on herself and her career. The revelation came during an episode of her reality TV show, B’dazzled by Bonang, where she shared her excitement about this new chapter in her life.
Bonang, known for keeping her personal life out of the spotlight, did not disclose the identity of her new partner. However, rumors are circulating that she is dating entrepreneur David Phume, following their appearance together at her exclusive 37th birthday celebration in June.
Reflecting on her time being single, Bonang explained that she spent the past few years prioritizing her career and personal growth. “I was single for six years before. Now you can’t get me any more. It’s going well. I’m very happy. We found our rhythm,” she said on her show.
She shared that her time in New York City, where she dealt with legal challenges related to her business, BNG, helped her grow stronger and more focused. “I was adamant in knowing what I wanted, the guy I wanted… I wasn’t happy, so there was no way I was going to be happy in a relationship. But after coming back from New York, feeling stronger, better, and more beautiful, I was ready,” she added.
