Mbokazi-Nkambule died in the early hours of Monday at Parklands Hospital in Durban after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She had publicly revealed her diagnosis earlier this year, calling it the “toughest moment” of her life.
Her family expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support they received throughout her illness and requested privacy as they mourn her loss. In a heartfelt statement, Bishop Nkambule shared, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Zanele. She has departed to be with the Lord.”
