Nigerian social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM) has made a public appeal to music icon Davido, urging him to facilitate the release of fellow artist Dammy Krane from police custody. VDM alleged that Dammy Krane was arrested at the request of Davido, stemming from ongoing personal disputes.
In an Instagram post on August 28, 2024, VDM recounted a visit to a police station where he unexpectedly encountered Dammy Krane in a holding cell. According to VDM, he was at the station to express gratitude to police officers who had assisted him with his work. During the visit, he was informed by a bystander that a celebrity with dreadlocks was in custody. To his surprise, the detainee turned out to be Dammy Krane.
VDM described a brief conversation with Dammy Krane, during which the singer reportedly claimed that Davido was responsible for his arrest. VDM noted that their confrontation stemmed from past incidents where Dammy Krane had publicly accused Davido of various wrongdoings without evidence, leading to strained relations between the two artists.
Despite acknowledging the tension, VDM appealed to Davido’s sense of justice, asking him to show mercy and allow Dammy Krane a second chance. “David, you’re my brother, and I know you’re not an oppressor. Please, release him,” VDM urged in his heartfelt message.
This appeal has sparked widespread attention, with fans and onlookers eagerly awaiting Davido’s response to the call for Dammy Krane’s release.
