Rudeboy Fires Back at APC’s Joe Igbokwe for Criticizing P-Square Split
Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy and formerly part of the musical duo P-Square, has responded sharply to comments made by Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), regarding the group’s separation.
In a Facebook post, Igbokwe expressed disappointment over the inability of twin brothers Paul and Peter Okoye to reconcile their differences and criticized their handling of personal and professional issues. He wrote, “So shameful that two twin brothers, Paul and Peter, cannot work together, cannot love one another, cannot trust each other, cannot think together, cannot reason together, cannot forgive each other. They cannot manage their wives, their success story, or control their emotions. Even their wives could not help matters. What about their parents, their brothers and sisters, their Nnaochie? This is a shame.”
Igbokwe went on to call their situation “success without brains” and “education without character,” questioning the role of family elders in resolving the conflict.
Rudeboy, clearly angered by these remarks, took to Instagram to respond. “Joe Igbokwe, your Papa. Elder wey mumu. Focus on the country wey you put mouth scatter. People are hungry,” he wrote, directing Igbokwe to address the issues facing Nigeria under APC leadership instead.
This exchange highlights the public and personal tensions surrounding the split of P-Square, which recently dissolved again after reuniting in 2021. The ongoing scrutiny and criticism from public figures like Igbokwe continue to add fuel to the fire of this high-profile family dispute.
