South African singer Rethabile Khumalo has been hospitalised after a suspected poisoning incident, allegedly involving a close friend. Rethabile, daughter of the renowned singer Winnie Khumalo, is known for her powerful voice and energetic performances, with hits like “Ntyilo Ntyilo” and “Umlilo.”
Winnie Khumalo shared the distressing news on Instagram, revealing that Rethabile has been in the hospital for six days and has undergone three operations. “We are hoping that Rethabile will soon recover, but at the moment, things are not looking good. She has been on and off,” Winnie wrote. She asked for prayers from Rethabile’s supporters and expressed the heartache of being a parent in such difficult times.
Winnie also disclosed that a case has been opened with the police regarding the poisoning incident and that Rethabile is still undergoing critical medical procedures.
The news has elicited an outpouring of support from fans and celebrities alike. Many have expressed their wishes for a speedy recovery. Prudence Pruluv Mathebula, a motivational speaker, prayed for her healing, while actress Manaka Ranaka expressed her concern.
