British rap sensation Skepta recently revealed the influence of Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck on his approach to social media. During a Q&A session with a fan on X, Skepta shared that Odumodublvck inspired him to embrace a more light-hearted and humorous style online, saying, “Odumodu influenced me to catch cruise more. Nothing is serious until it’s serious.”
The fan wrote: “Big Smoke, you are a big influence on Odumodublvck. What’s the biggest way he’s influenced you?”
Skepta replied: “Odumodu influenced me to catch cruise more. Nothing is serious until it’s serious.”
Meanwhile, the British-Nigerian rapper has said he loves the trio of afrobeat superstars, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, stressing that there is a need for artists to unite.
“We love Wiz, we love Burna, and we love David! We have enough people praying on our downfall to be fighting each other,” Skepta wrote on his X page.
Skepta, whose real name is Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr., is a British grime MC, rapper, record producer, and DJ. Alongside his brother Jme, he co-founded Boy Better Know in 2005. Born on September 19, 1982, in Tottenham, London, Skepta has made significant contributions to the music industry.
