Renowned Nollywood comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has sadly passed away. The 62-year-old actor died of cardiac arrest at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State.
Mr Ibu had been battling health issues for some time, which ultimately led to the amputation of one of his legs. He was diagnosed with diseased blood vessels, prompting his family to seek financial assistance from the public for his treatment.
His passing comes as a shock to many, following the recent loss of his colleague, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, also known as Sisi Quadri.
Mr Ibu was widely celebrated for his comedic roles in numerous Nollywood films such as “Issakaba” and “A Fool at 40,” earning him several accolades throughout his career.
The news of his demise has sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans and fellow actors, mourning the loss of a beloved figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
