Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja married her lover, Ugo Nwoke, in Abuja on Thursday. She shared videos of their traditional wedding on Instagram, introducing Nwoke as the “King of my heart.”
The wedding was attended by several celebrities, including Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Jemima Osunde, Big Brother Naija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, and chef Hilda Bassey.
In an interview with Bella Naija, Sharon revealed that she and Ugo dated for two and a half months before he proposed. She recounted how her sister introduced them, and despite her initial reluctance, they quickly developed a deep connection.
Sharon shared that their relationship began after she recovered from a major heartbreak. Her sister gave Ugo her number, and although Sharon was initially uninterested, Ugo’s persistence paid off. Their conversations grew more meaningful, leading to a three-hour chat that made Sharon realize her feelings for him. They dated for a short period, got engaged in the third month, and married two months later.
