Marvel Studios has revealed the star-studded cast for its upcoming reboot of “Fantastic Four,” set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. Pedro Pascal leads the quartet as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), alongside Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing).
This superhero team, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, marks a pivotal addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), as Disney reshuffles its release calendar, moving “Fantastic Four” up and pushing back “Thunderbolts” to May 2, 2025.
Director Matt Shakman, known for his work on “WandaVision,” will helm the project, while the screenplay is crafted by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.
Pascal, fresh off his Emmy-nominated role in HBO’s “The Last of Us,” embodies the stretchy prowess of Reed Richards, while Kirby, acclaimed for her performances in “The Crown” and “Pieces of a Woman,” takes on the role of Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman. Moss-Bachrach, honored with an Emmy for “The Bear,” transforms into the brawny Ben Grimm, while Quinn, known for “Stranger Things,” ignites as the fiery Johnny Storm.
The Fantastic Four’s return to the big screen comes after previous attempts by 20th Century Fox, with mixed success. Now, under Marvel’s wing, the iconic characters promise a fresh take on their cosmic adventures and superhero dynamics.
As anticipation builds, Marvel fans eagerly await further details about the film’s plot and villains. The announcement underscores Marvel’s commitment to revitalizing its cinematic universe following the departure of key characters like Captain America and Iron Man.
With the full foursome in place, Marvel Studios prepares to redefine the superhero genre once again, as “Fantastic Four” shapes up to be a thrilling addition to the ever-expanding MCU.
